Trauma-Informed Therapy with Acupressure and Mind-Body Reconnection

Trauma-informed therapy recognizes how past experiences—especially those involving trauma—can become stored in the body, affecting both physical health and emotional well-being. Rather than focusing solely on talk therapy, this approach integrates the body and the nervous system into the healing process.

Through acupressure, gentle, targeted pressure is applied to specific points on the body to help release stored tension, regulate the nervous system, and encourage the body’s natural healing responses. This hands-on technique is non-invasive and works to safely support the body in letting go of patterns of stress and trauma held in the muscles, fascia, and energy pathways.

Alongside acupressure, I use verbally guided mind-body reconnection techniques. This involves helping clients tune into physical sensations, emotions, and subconscious responses in a safe, supported way. Through mindful awareness and gentle dialogue, clients learn to reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been disconnected or suppressed as a protective response to trauma.

This combined approach not only helps relieve physical discomfort but also fosters emotional regulation, resilience, and a deeper sense of safety within the body. The goal is to empower clients to understand and navigate their internal experiences with greater confidence and ease—creating space for healing that addresses both the body and mind.
